You can use magicJack for as little as $19.95/year per line. MagicJack is a device that plugs into a USB port on the user's computer (or in the case of MagicJack Plus, plugs directly into a router) and has a standard RJ-11 phone jack into which any standard phone can be plugged. It is a computer peripheral that, in combination with telephony service from the related YMAX Corporation, provides Internet-based telephone service (VoIP).

Yes, you can block your outbound caller ID on a per-call basis.
To block your outbound caller ID, simply dial *67 before dialing the telephone number you wish to reach.
For inbound caller ID (number) issues try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Plug your magicJack into a different USB port or try a different outlet
- Try using a different telephone with your magicJack
For inbound caller ID name issues note magicJack will not display the name of anyone who calls unless the name is already programmed into your telephone handset or your magicJack dialpad.
For outbound caller ID name issues keep in mind that each phone carrier has their own caller ID name database. While magicJack updates their own caller ID name database every week to 10 days, it is up to each individual carrier to synchronize their database with ours, which can take additional time, and which magicJack has no control over.
magicJack has no control over outbound caller ID name for Canadian numbers, which by default is set to the name associated with your magicJack account.
If it has been over one month since your service with magicJack began and your outbound caller ID name does not show with any number that you call, please contact our Customer Care team for further assistance.
Caller ID does not work when you are already on a call; in other words, caller ID does not work in tandem with call waiting.
You will use the volume controls on the telephone set connected to your magicJack.
