SMART Notebook basic provides Teachers and Educators many of the features that were available with the last free version of SMART Notebook (v11.4). It also supports Windows 10 and the latest versions of the Mac OS – and, just as important, it is free from any Flash elements. The basic version also includes the latest drivers and SMART Ink. SMART Ink can be used to annotate over any application (program, web browser, etc.) And, just to reinforce the point, this software is free!

If you would like to take advantage of the premium features of SMART Notebook and have access to SMART Learning Suite Online (SLSO), you need to purchase a license. However, keep in mind that a one year subscription to premium and SLSO comes with the purchase of a SMART Board. However, Smart Notebook 11 is no longer available, as 15.2 is the latest version. The company warns that the software requires at least 2GB of RAM, 2.5GB of storage space and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU or better. When you purchase/renew a license or get one with your new SMART Board, you have two choices to activate the premium features – sign on using your Google or Microsoft email account OR use the provided activation key. However, to sign on to SLSO you need to use your Google or Microsoft email account.

Hello,
I need to deploy SMART Notebook 11.4 as soon as possible across the site, however have ran into problems deploying the MSI.
I have followed the SMART instructions to use the SMART Install Manager to generate both an XML of the settings/configuration I want to use and also published the settings as an MST file. However, I run into problems when I run the following command:
The installer launches and starts to prepare the installation, and then just exits out. The error log shows: 'Product: Education Software 2013 December Update -- Warning: Nothing has been selected to be installed. At least one product must be selected.'
I have attached a copy of the XML settings file which was used to publish the MST file (obviously I have removed our serial number).
I am attempting to deploy this to Windows 8.1 x64 clients. I have ensures that the pre-requisites are installed (things like .NET Framework 4.0 is already pre-installed on Windows 8.1 x64).
I am also having the same error occur on Windows 7 SP1 x86 clients.
Can anyone provide any insight because I feel as though I'm headbutting a brick wall!
